MPEI signed a memorandum of cooperation with Tun Hussein Onn University of Malaysia

On November 9, 2023 in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) at the second meeting of the Joint Malaysia-Russia Commission for Economic, Scientific, Technical and Cultural Cooperation (ESTC) a Memorandum of Cooperation between MPEI and the Tun Hussein Onn University was signed.

Nikolay Rogalev, MPEI Rector, noted that after a four-year pause caused by the pandemic, it is necessary to intensify interuniversity cooperation with Malaysia in the expansion of academic mobility of students, scientific and pedagogical personnel, in conducting joint scientific research and internships.

According to the memorandum, MPEI and the Malaysian university plan to launch student exchange programs, interact in the field of research grants, develop electric vehicle field, participate in advanced training programs in the field of energy, electrical engineering, information technology to promote continuing education and knowledge exchange. The memorandum is also aimed at close cooperation with the Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of the Tun Hussein Onn University.

At the end of the meeting, the parties emphasized that the signing of the Memorandum will be a crucial step towards developing international cooperation, conducting joint research and enriching academic experience​
