MPEI congratulated the Kyrgyz State Technical University on its anniversary

On September 18, 2024, the Kyrgyz State Technical University, named after, I. Razzakov (KSTU) celebrated its 70th anniversary in Bishkek, the capital of the Kyrgyz Republic. Nikolay Rogalev, MPEI Rector, personally congratulated the partner university on the anniversary at the solemn meeting held at the National Philharmonic Hall.

In his speech, Nikolay Rogalev noted the great contribution of Frunze Polytechnic Institute, Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razzakov to the training of national personnel for all sectors of the Kyrgyzstan economy.

MPEI and KSTU have close ties. In its time MPEI was a base for training of highly qualified personnel for the departments of Frunze Polytechnic. A number of MPEI graduates, who had defended their theses in MPEI, held responsible positions. Among them is Vladimir Zhuravlev, who was rector of Frunze Polytechnic from 1975 to 1989. Ulan Brimkulov headed the KSTU from 1975 to 1989. Janybek Sharshenaliev worked as head of the department of the Frunze Polytechnic Institute. In 1987-1988 he was the Minister of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education of the Kyrgyz SSR. Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, Mr. Janybek Sharshenaliev was the rector of the Osh Technological University in 2000-2003. In 2003-2006 he was the rector of the KSTU.

KSTU remains a reliable partner of MPEI. Together with MPEI he is a co-chairman of the Russian-Kyrgyz Consortium of Technical Universities, implements several joint educational programs, organizes the International Network Scientific and Technical Conference of the Consortium.

For the great personal contribution to the development of joint work, long-term comprehensive support of cooperation programs between MPEI and KSTU, Mirlan Chynybaev, KSTU Rector, was awarded MPEI breastplate “For interaction and cooperation”. In addition, some KSTU employees were awarded MPEI Certificates of Merit for their great personal contribution to the development of cooperation and support of joint educational programs.
