January 5-21, 2025, Associate Professor of the Electric Power Systems Department (EPS) Rinat Nasyrov took part in the VI International Congress of the Dominican Society of Physics (CI-SoDoFi 2025) at the invitation of Dr. Melvin Arias, President of the Congress. The event was held in Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic).

At the congress, Rinat Nasyrov delivered a speech on “Improving the stainability of electrical systems with a significant share of renewable energy sources” and also gave a lecture for participants and students of the master's program of the Technological Institute of Santo Domingo (INTEC). His speech and the lecture aroused great interest among the audience.

As part of the visit, a round table on “Possible ways of interaction and cooperation” was held. Participants discussed the prospects of partnership with the Technological Institute of Santo Domingo. Areas of joint work were outlined, including internships, preparation of joint scientific publications, exchange of research results and results of work at conferences.

The program of the visit also included acquaintance with historical sights of the Dominican Republic: Santo Domingo Cathedral, Ozama Fortress and Los Tres Ojos Caves.
