MPEI at a reception in honor of the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Russia

On February 27, 2025, a grand reception was held to celebrate the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Russian Federation. The partnership began in 1950.

At the event, MPEI was represented by Nikolay Rogalev, Rector, and Alexander Tarasov, Vice-Rector on International Relations.

The guests were warmly welcomed by Mr. Dang Minh Khoi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to the Russian Federation, and his wife, Mrs. Le Linh Lan.

In his welcoming speech, Mr. Dang Minh Khoi highlighted the significance of the long-standing friendship and partnership between Vietnam and Russia, emphasizing the role of educational and scientific cooperation in strengthening bilateral ties.

The Soviet Union's diplomatic recognition of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam laid a solid foundation for the subsequent development and strengthening of the comprehensive strategic partnership between our countries.

We are confident that MPEI’s role in training highly qualified specialists for Vietnam will continue to grow, contributing to the development of scientific and technical cooperation and the strengthening of friendly ties between Russia and Vietnam.

The first Vietnamese students enrolled at MPEI in 1953. Over the years, the university has trained more than 650 bachelor's and master's graduates, as well as specialists for Vietnam. Additionally, MPEI has awarded 120 Candidate of Science degrees and 10 Doctor of Science degrees. More than 180 Vietnamese specialists have also completed internships at the university.
