Eurasian Economic Commission delegation visited MPEI

During the visit, the EEC representatives familiarized themselves with the educational and scientific capabilities of the university in the field of power engineering. The delegation visited the Departments of Relay Protection and Automation of Power Systems (PACS), High Voltage Engineering and Electrophysics (HVEE), Electric Power Systems (EPS) of the Electric Power Engineering Institute (IEPE), as well as laboratories of the Institute of Hydropower and Renewable Energy Sources (IHRE).

During the meeting with Nikolay Rogalev, MPEI Rector, discussions focused on cooperation between the university and the EEC, as well as the training of highly qualified specialists for the power engineering industry. Special attention was given to internship opportunities and scientific research aimed at developing innovative technologies in the power engineering sector.

At the end of the visit, Vadim Zakrevsky, Director of the EEC Energy Department, delivered a lecture to students of the Electric Power Engineering Institute. His lecture, titled “Power engineering issues and results of its integration in the EAEU for 2024,” covered key aspects of the development of the Eurasian Economic Union's unified power engineering market, presented achieved results, and discussed prospects for further cooperation.
