In his online address, Vladimir Murashkin highlighted the importance of cultural exchange between the two countries. The staff of the MPEI Directorate of Integration Policy Development attended the event as honorary guests. MPEI representatives delivered a welcoming speech about the long-standing friendship between Russia and Vietnam and the development of cooperation. They highlighted the activities of the Russian-Vietnamese Consortium of Technical Universities and the Russian-Vietnamese Innovation Center, both based at the university. The program included fascinating lectures on the history of Vietnam, Russian-Vietnamese interaction and Vietnamese culture. The speakers were representatives of Lomonosov Moscow State University, MSLU, MGLU, MGIMO and RANEPA. The Vietnamese Culture Day at MISIS was organized by the Center for Interactive Projects and Research (CIPR) with the support of the Institute of Basic Education. The event gathered many students from Vietnam, Russia and other countries, emphasizing the importance of educational and cultural exchange between the two countries. April is a special month for Vietnam. On the 30th, the country celebrates the 50th anniversary of the reunification of North and South Vietnam. That fact added much significance to the event in the context of the anniversary of diplomatic ties with Russia. Reference MPEI is the founder of the Russian-Vietnamese Consortium of Technical Universities (RVCTU). The agreement for RVCTU creation was signed in December 2023 during the fourth meeting of the Russian-Vietnamese Commission for Cooperation in Education, Science, and Technology. From the Russian side, the Consortium includes not only MPEI but also the Moscow Aviation Institute, as well as the Hanoi University of Science and Technology, with Hanoi State University as an independent partner. The project is carried out in collaboration with industrial organizations from both countries.
