MPEI at the interregional research and practical seminar on universities’ international activities in Samara

From September 5 to 7, 2025, Samara National Research University named after academician S.P. Korolev hosted the interregional research and practical seminar “Security, AI tools, adaptive training, and regional cooperation – the formula for successful international university activities.” The seminar built on 30 years of experience from the all-Russian school-seminar “Integration of Russian universities into the global educational and research space, considering regional specifics.”

The event, co-organized by Samara University, MPEI, ANO Internauka, and ANO Exporters’ Club, brought together leading experts in international relations, security, and the use of artificial intelligence in education.

MPEI was represented by Elena Gulicheva, Director on International Relations and Ekaterina Sysoeva, Assistant to the Vice-Rector. Elena Gulicheva shared MPEI’s experience with participants in her presentation “MPEI’s intellectual impulse: project on integrating AI into university processes.”

The seminar focused on pressing issues facing Russian universities: ensuring national and information security in international projects, introducing AI tools and process automation, advancing adaptive pre-university training for international students, and building regional university cooperation networks.

As a result, participants developed practical recommendations for the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation on strengthening universities’ international activities in today’s geopolitical environment. The participation of MPEI representatives highlights the university’s active role in shaping the new agenda for international academic collaboration.
