MPEI takes part in a reception at the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China

On September 26, 2025, MPEI took part in a ceremonial reception at the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Moscow, dedicated to the 76th anniversary of the founding of the PRC and the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Russia.

MPEI was represented by Rector Nikolay Rogalev and Vice-Rector on International Relations Alexander Tarasov. The event brought together more than 1,500 guests, including representatives from politics, business, culture, science, and public organizations.

In his address, H.E. Zhang Hanhui, China's ambassador to Russia, highlighted the significance of the past 76 years for China, emphasizing the country’s remarkable transformation and its contribution to the global economy. He also underscored the strength of Russia–China relations, founded on mutual trust, strategic partnership, and shared benefit.

Ivan Melnikov, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation and Chairman of the Russia–China Friendship Society, noted: “For us, China has become not only our largest neighbor, but also a key partner and a true friend”.

Guests enjoyed a festive concert and a photo exhibition titled “New Chapter in the History of Beautiful Tibet”, demonstrating the social and economic achievements of the Tibet Autonomous Region over the past decades.
