MPEI Badge for Collaboration was awarded to Professor Trinh Quang Phu07.11.2025Professor Trinh Quang Phu, Director of the Institute for Oriental Development Studies, received MPEI’s “For Interaction and Collaboration” badge in recognition of his long-standing support and personal contribution to developing cooperation between MPEI and institutions in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. Nikolay Rogalev, MPEI Rector, noted that “this award symbolizes the strong friendship, trust, and fruitful exchange of knowledge between MPEI and our international partners.” Professor Trinh Quang Phu expressed his gratitude for the recognition and emphasized that the long-standing ties between MPEI and Vietnam serve as a model of effective scientific and educational cooperation. The first Vietnamese students enrolled at MPEI in 1953, and since then the university has continued to train highly qualified specialists for Vietnam. MPEI’s work has been repeatedly recognized at the state level. In 1978, MPEI received the Order of Friendship, and in 2015, the Order of Labor of the first degree. The last one is the highest award of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam for foreign organizations. Read more about cooperation with Vietnam here.
