MPEI at the Russia–Vietnam Scientific and Educational Forum “75 Years of Cooperation”

On December 12, 2025, Anastasia Mashkova, Director on Integration Policy Development at MPEI, took part in the business program of the Russia-Vietnam Scientific and Educational Forum “75 Years of Cooperation” held in Moscow as part of the Year of Science and Education 2026. The forum brought together representatives of government authorities, leading universities, and research organizations from both countries.

Dmitry Chernyshenko, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation and Konstantin Mogilevsky, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation attended the official opening ceremony. In their addresses, they emphasized the strategic importance of the Russia-Vietnam partnership and the key role of science and education in its further development.

At the roundtable “Russia–Vietnam: Best Practices in Interuniversity Cooperation,” Anastasia Mashkova presented her report. The session was moderated by Svetlana Volodina, Vice-Rector of Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, and brought together vice-rectors and heads of international departments from leading Russian universities, alongside representatives from Vietnamese universities and research organizations.

In her presentation, Anastasia Mashkova outlined the structure of the Russia-Vietnam Consortium of Technical Universities as an institutional mechanism for long-term collaboration, focused on training engineering personnel, developing digital energy solutions, and establishing sustainable links between universities and industry partners. She placed particular emphasis on the Consortium’s practical achievements, including the implementation of joint educational programs, summer schools, and the activities of the Russia–Vietnam Innovation Center in Hanoi.

MPEI’s participation in the forum highlighted the university’s active role in shaping the new agenda for Russia–Vietnam cooperation in science, education, and technological development.
