Myanmar Embassy marked the Armed Forces anniversary in Moscow31.03.2026On March 31, 2026, the Embassy of Myanmar in Russia hosted a reception to mark the 81st anniversary of the country’s Armed Forces. MPEI was represented at the event by Sultan Makoev, Director on International Education, Leila Kelbikhanova, a staff member of the Directorate for International Education, as well as students and postgraduate researchers from Myanmar. The guests were welcomed by Brigadier General Kyaw Soe Oo, Military, Naval and Air Attaché at the Embassy of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar in the Russian Federation. The reception brought together members of the diplomatic corps, representatives of government, public organizations and academic institutions. The event highlighted the important role of the Armed Forces of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar in the country’s history and in fostering international cooperation, including collaboration with the Russian Federation across various fields, particularly in education. MPEI representatives’ participation contributed to further strengthening the university’s academic and international ties with educational institutions of Myanmar.
