MPEI representatives took part in the 18th AMO Conference.

MPEI International Division informs that from June 15 to June 23, 2013 MPEI delegation took part in the 18th international Conference of the Association of International Offices of Higher Education Institutions. MPEI representatives were delegated to Sozopol, Bulgaria for the purpose of taking part in work process of the Association of International Offices of Higher Education Institutions (AMO) of Central European and Eastern European Universities and for negotiations concerning the establishment of the joint educational programs, programs of exchange education and attracting of foreign students to train in MPEI.

AMO was founded in May 1991, following MPEI initiative and its direct assistance. At present AMO includes the Universities of Russia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Hungary, Germany, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia, Ukraine, Czech Republic and Finland.

During the events MPEI representatives have exchanged the experience with their colleagues within the Double Degree programs, joint educational programs and internationalization of the Universities. The plan of cooperation activities with Wroclaw University of Technology (Politechnika Wrocławska) was submitted, taking into account that this year is the 20th anniversary of signing the Agreement of cooperation between MPEI and Wroclaw University. Moreover, the preliminary negotiations concerning the work program of 2014 between MPEI and Technical University of Sofia were carrying out as the 50th anniversary of signing the Agreement of cooperation is planned.
