MPEI International Division reports that on October 18, 2013 in Boardroom of the bulk "C" of MPEI there had been organized a solemn academic colloquium and presentation of Ilmenau Technical University diplomas (Germany). MPEI alumni obtain diplomas of foreign University - it became possible because of Russian-German program "Informatics, Computer Facilities and Electrical Equipment in German" realized in MPEI Training Center "The German Engineering Faculty of MPEI — Ilmenau TU". This program is realized in MPEI since 1998 together with Ilmenau TU (Germany) with active support of the German service of the academic exchanges of DAAD, Siemens AG firm and other organizations.

Participants of the colloquium were welcomed by V. Zamolodchikov - Vice Rector of international relations in MPEI, I. Zhelbakov - Head of the program in MPEI. Dr. Gregor Berghorn, head of the Moscow representation of the German service of the academic exchanges of DAAD, addressed also to alumni and participants of the program.

This year Professor Hannes Toepfer handed Diplomas of Ilmenau TU to MPEI alumni. Professor took active part in researches in the field of practical and theoretical informatics and he is Head of the Theoretical electrical equipment department in Ilmenau TU. Since 2003 till 2012 already 65 former MPEI students received documents on the graduation from the German University.

To obtain the diploma about the graduation from Ilmenau TU students of MPEI have to execute completely MPEI training program and, besides, completely execute the German part of the program (to pass 20-week work practice in Germany, to pass complex examination in a number of disciplines of the curriculum in Ilmenau TU, to write in German and to defend successfully the degree project).
