MPEI on its way to world ratings

MPEI International Division informs that from the 28th of October, 2013 till the 2nd of November, 2013 a delegation from MPEI visited Republic of Korea, Seoul, Sungkyunkwan University - to participate in the 9th Conference and the QS APPLE exhibition. The MPEI delegation took part in the Conference and the exhibition on the international education of professional leaders in the field of education in the Asia Pacific Region (Asia, Europe, America and Australia) – QS Asia Pacific Professional Leaders in Education (QS-APPLE).

The British QS agency (Quacquarelli Symonds) known for that makes an annual world rating of Universities – QS World University Rankings, for the 9th time at the Conference exhibition collected representatives of Universities and experts in the field of the higher education from Asia, Europe, America and Australia.

Within the conference there has been organized a special workshop devoted to the technology of world ratings of universities and their comparative analysis. During the substantive and parallel sessions there were presentations of the largest world educational centers, discussions on internationalization in the higher education, technology of world level University foundation in the Asia Pacific Region, marketing of educational services, meetings with the international experts. Russia in 9th QS-APPLE 21 has been represented by other universities as well.

Within the exhibition MPEI presented the roll-up with information on University, faculties and educational programs in scientific and educational centers, the international projects, conditions of reception for foreign students. Near the roll-up there have been passed the main meetings with guests of the event, negotiations with potential partners.

Besides, within the conference there was a section on discussion of a new QS initiative: rating of BRICS countries. Purpose of this rating creation: increase in recognition of universities from BRICS countries, rating of similar universities on indicators. Representatives of 5 countries made reports on participation prospects in a new rating.
