MPEI International Division informs that in March, 2014 MPEI took part in the events within the selection stage of the Academic Competition "It is time to study in Russia! " in China. In February in Beijing during regular meeting of the Russian-Chinese working group on interaction issues in studying and teaching of the Russian and Chinese languages, developments of bilateral academic exchanges, scientific and technical cooperation of Universities of the Russian-Chinese Subcommittee on cooperation in the field of education there was coordinated the mechanism and the work procedure concerning the selection stage of the Academic Competition "It is time to study in Russia!".

The events concerning the selection stage of the Academic Competition took place in the administrative center and the largest city of the Province of Shanxi - Taiyuan, the city district Luoyang (Province of Henan) and the capital of the People's Republic of China - Beijing. The total quantity of pupils who have taken part in tests on mathematics is 154 persons. Within the events in each city there were performed detailed presentations for scholars and their parents about features of training in MPEI, realized educational programs, and also conditions of stay, social and cultural life of students. All participants of the events received the reference book "It is time to study in Russia!" in Chinese, containing information on the Russian cultural center in Beijing and twenty seven Russian Universities.

On March 24 in the Russian Cultural Center there was a meeting of representatives of the delegation from Russian Universities with the Chinese Universities, the Chinese association of graduates of the Soviet and Russian Universities and recruiting companies.
