MPEI group of authors presented a new book-bilingua

MPEI publishing office has published a bilingual book in Russian and Uzbek.

Title in Russian: Информационные технологии в инженерных расчетах: SMath ("Information technologies in engineering calculations: SMath")

Title in Uzbek: "Muhandislik hisoblarida axborot texnologiyalari: SMath".

The authors of the book are employees of the Department of Theoretical Bases of Heat Engineering (TBHE​) named after Mikhail Vukalovich (ITNPE): Valery Ochkov, professor and Nilufar Umirova, senior lecturer. The authors set themselves at least three tasks: first, to try to teach students to carry out scientific, technical and engineering calculations with the help of SMATH, secondly, to introduce them to the vocabulary used in Russian and Uzbek in engineering calculations and, finally, to do it in an informal and fascinating way.

The publication was released under the editorship of Nikolay Rogalev, MPEI Rector, Sadritdin Turabdzhanov, Rector of the Tashkent State Technical University named after Islam Karimov, MPEI Honorary Professor.

 The bilingual book is aimed at combining the rich experience of the TBHE department professors to present and popularize knowledge in SMath, mastering the practice of engineering calculations in this environment. The presentation is based on simple examples from various academic disciplines using the Russian equivalent of the Mathcad program. The presented manual in the form of a bilingual book in Russian and Uzbek allows improving knowledge of a foreign language and preparing texts related to the subject area in a foreign language simultaneously with the formulation and solution of engineering problems.

Presently, close interuniversity cooperation with the Tashkent State Technical University is underway: in 2022, Sadritdin Turabdzhanov, Rector of Tashkent State Technical University, was awarded the title of Honorary Professor of MPEI. In 2023, the Tashkent State Technical University held a solemn presentation of diplomas to the first graduates of the joint educational program organized by MPEI branch in Volzhsky and the Tashkent State Technical University.
