Since 2005 MPEI has been successfully cooperating with Tokyo University
of Science.
The Tokyo University was founded in 1881. It is a research university
divided into branches - science research
institutes. Now there are more than 20000 students studying at 5 Campuses.
Presently, the University collaborates with multiple foreign universities and
scientific organizations, including MPEI.
In 2014 one of
the Master students of the Department of Physics was taking an internship at Tokyo University of Science in order to acquire new skills in
working with laser atomic interferometers.
In the 2016/2017
academic year, postgraduate student Gleb Ziborov (IEE) completed an internship at the Tokyo University of Science within the framework of the academic
mobility program. The organization of this internship was supervised by Youri
Kuzma-Kichta, professor of MPEI ITNPE Department of Engineering Thermophysics,
coordinator of cooperation between MPEI and Tokyo University of Science.
In 2018 MPEI was
visited by Satarou Yamaguchi, professor of Chubu University. With the help of
professor Kuzma-Kichta, a Russian-Japanese project has been emerging in the
field of sustainable development in power engineering education.
In 2018,
professor Kuzma-Kichta received the grant from the Japan Society for the
Promotion of Science.
Among the
honorable professors of MPEI there is a citizen of Japan, Kolobov Alexander,
Chief Researcher at the National Institute of Advanced Technologies and Applied
Sciences of Japan, who has been holding the title since 2012.
