MPEI expands cooperation with the Kyrgyz Republic

On December 6, 2024, MPEI hosted a delegation from the Vocational Lyceum No. 100 of the Kyrgyz Republic headed by its Director Indira Kuralbekova. The delegation consisted of Cholponkulova Zhyparkul, Deputy Director on Industrial Training, Babanova Gulzat, Deputy Director on Educational Work and Abdibaitov Melisbek, an employee of the International Department. 

The delegation was received by Sergey Shirinsky, Head of External Relations Department, Elena Gulicheva, Director on International Relations and Turatbek Duishenaliev, Honorable MPEI Doctor, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, professor of the MPEI Department of "Robotics, Mechatronics, Dynamics and Machine Strength​".

As part of their introduction to the university, the guests were given a tour of the Institute of Hydropower and Renewable Energy (IHRE) and the Institute of Electrical Power Engineering (IEPE), including the Electric Power Systems Department (EPS)​ and the High Voltage Engineering and Electrophysics Department (HVEE). The tour also featured a demonstration of the Thermal and Nuclear Power Engineering Institute (ITNPE) and the GOELRO museum.

During the meeting the parties discussed the prospects of further cooperation, agreeing on joint scientific research, organization of advanced training programs for lyceum representatives on MPEI basis and their participation in the XXXII International Scientific and Technical Conference of Students and Postgraduates “Radioelectronics, Electrical and Power Engineering” (REEPE) in March 2025.

The visit ended with the signing of a cooperation agreement, which confirmed the intentions of the parties to strengthen partnership and develop educational and scientific projects.
