MPEI at the event on development of cooperation in education and patriotic upbringing of Russia and Belarus

On March 11, 2025, the Business and Cultural Complex of the Embassy of Belarus in Russia hosted an event titled "Educational Potential of Institutions and Projects on Patriotic Education of the Younger Generation." The event aimed to strengthen partnerships between educational institutions of both countries and facilitate the exchange of experience in patriotic education for young people. It was organized by the Ministry of Education of Belarus and the Republican Centre for Ecology and Local History.

The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Education of Belarus and the Ministry of Education of Russia, public organizations, as well as heads of republican, federal, and regional institutions of supplementary education, specialized secondary schools, and higher education institutions from both Belarus and Russia. 

MPEI was represented by Ekaterina Sysoeva, Leading Specialist of the International Relations Directorate and Assistant to the Vice-Rector on International Relations.

Before the meeting, an exhibition was held to present effective practices and achievements of the Belarusian education system, as well as educational and recreational opportunities available for Russian children and youth. 

As part of the roundtable discussion "Creating a Common Educational Space to Preserve Historical Memory and Foster Young Patriots of the Union State," participants explored key issues in developing joint initiatives for patriotic education and highlighted Belarusian projects focused on civic and patriotic engagement.
