II Forum of Mongolian Students in Russia03.03.2026On February 28, 2026, at the MPEI Great Assembly Hall, the Forum brought together Mongolian students from across Russia. The event gathered more than 150 Mongolian students from Russian universities. Honored guests of the forum included H.E. Mr. Ulziisaikhan Enkhtuvshin, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the Russian Federation, Mr. Tsolmon Bolor, Counselor and Head of the Consular Section, Mr. Otgonbayar Bat, Counselor, Mr. Chinbat Anand, Counselor; Ms. Ochirbat Yanjmaa, First Secretary, Mr. Batbuyan Bat-Orshikh, Second Secretary, Mr. Onon Chinbayar, Third Secretary and other representatives of the Embassy of Mongolia in the Russian Federation. Nikolay Rogalev, MPEI Rector and H.E. Mr. Ulziisaikhan Enkhtuvshin, Ambassador officially opened the ceremony. In his welcome address, MPEI Rector highlighted the university's long-standing and fruitful cooperation with Mongolia in training highly qualified specialists. He also wished the forum participants an engaging and memorable experience throughout the event's program. For his part, the Ambassador presented a letter of appreciation from the Embassy of Mongolia in the Russian Federation and the Association of Mongolian Students in Russia for their support in organizing the Forum hosted at MPEI. The goal of the event was to unite Mongolian students from across Russia, preserve and promote the national art, culture, and traditions of Mongolia, as well as strengthen humanitarian and educational ties between the two countries. Throughout the day, the audience enjoyed Mongolian songs, folk dances, and performances on the traditional morin khuur instrument. Student associations delivered presentations, sparking conversations and networking. The forum served as an important platform for exchanging experiences, making new connections and discussing pressing issues related to the studies and adaptation of international students. Reference: MPEI is actively developing international relations, strengthening academic and scientific ties with partners abroad. A special place in this work is held by its long-standing cooperation with universities and organizations in Mongolia, which has been ongoing since 1955. In recognition of its contribution to the development and training of highly qualified personnel for Mongolia's energy sector, MPEI has been awarded two Mongolian state decorations: the Order of the Polar Star (2016) and the Order of the Red Banner of Labor (2024).
