​MPEI International Division informs that on April 30, 2013 a delegation from Xi`an Jiaotong University visited MPEI. The delegation included: Xie Yanzhao - Professor in the field of electrical engineering and high voltage technology, Yang Penglin - Professor in the field of electronic technology and automation control, and interpreter - Li Guozheng, retired professor of nuclear technology, pulsed power technology.

Within a meeting the delegation visited MPEI leading Departments.

The delegation of University expressed to MPEI gratitude regarding to the fact that during formation of High Voltage and InsulationTechnologies Department of Xi`an University M. Mantrov - the prominent scientist and Professor of electrotechnical materials and cables Department (now — Physics of Electrical Materials and Components Department) took part. He was sent to the People's Republic of China in the early 50s.

Also, within the visit of delegation there had been a meeting in MPEI International Division, where the parties communicated about universities and stated their wishes to develop cooperation both in educational and in scientific spheres.
