MPEI International Division informs that since July 29 till August 1, 2014 MPEI Rector Nikolay Rogalev was warmly accepted at Riga Technical University (RTU). MPEI delegation participated in negotiations concerning the issues about scientific and academic cooperation and the organization of academic mobility programs.

 

During the visit since July 29 till August 1, 2014 there took place meetings with RTU Rector - Leonids Ribickis (photo 216), the management of International Department, Faculty of Engineering Economics and Management, Faculty of Power and Electrical Engineering and Institute of Energy Systems and Environment.

 

The Russian delegation was acquainted with university structure, laboratories, new bulks and hostel. Following the results of the visit the parties agreed about the possible directions of cooperation in the near future: mutual participation in scientific and student's conferences, joint publications, mutual visits of professors and organization of academic mobility programs. During the visit the delegation was invited to Embassy of the Russian Federation in Republic of Latvia where there took place a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation in Republic of Latvia Aleksandrs Vesnakovs.
