Foreign citizens who have the full secondary
education, which gives the right to get the higher education of university
level in the native country, can be admitted to the MPEI Bachelor course. The
foreigner wishing to entry at MPEI Bachelor course should possess the following
set of documents:
- The application in accordance
with MPEI rules, distinctly filled in, with the notified field of study, its
code and name chosen among the listed ones below. It should also include the
information of the Russian consulate where the visa is to be acquired, e-mail
address, contact mobile number, and be signed by the applicant as well.
- To acquire
admission, the applicant should submit the scanned copy of its original higher school certificate and its transcript, signed and stamped.
- To start the paperwork, the scanned copies of the first two pages of the national passport with distinct photo are required. It should be valid
through 1,5 years from the date of admission.
- Valid medical certificate,
including negative results on AIDS and contagious diseases.
- Documents granting advantage for admission, i.e. recommendation letters,
diplomas etc. if available.
The e-mail address to send the
documents to is study@mpei.ru, application
letter should contain the passport scan copy. This e-mail is monitored
throughout the year.
The coordinator in contact with the applicant asks the necessary questions and
passes the documents received to the Admission Committee that might also find
necessary to ask some questions in correspondence.
Upon the final decision of the
Committee the applicant is extendedly informed of it.
If it is positive, the applicant is informed, the
paperwork starts.
For those who received the positive answer it is
highly recommended to read the following paragraphs and to contact the coordinators via e-mail to
avoid mistakes.
MPEI prepares the set of documents for visa support of
the Russian Migration Agency, then receives the issued official invitation from
it.
For those who plans to study on the contract basis, the
contract is formed by the coordinator and is sent to the applicant, who has to
read it and make the first payment as a good will agreement. It is carried out
by the official invoice sent by MPEI. When the payment is completed, MPEI sends
the invitation and the official letter for relevant Russian Consulate to the
applicant.
Upon receiving the invitation and the official letter
the applicant can apply to his Russian Consulate to get the entry visa. When
it’s done and before the air ticket is booked, the applicant rectifies with the
coordinator the flight number, date and time of arrival to MPEI at least 3 days
in advance before the arrival. This talk gives the applicant the opportunity to
be transferred from the airport to the hostel by the MPEI pick-up service.
After receiving the invitation, the applicant should
apply in person to his local Russian Consulate for an entry visa. After getting
the visa and booking an air ticket, the applicant should inform the coordinator
about the date, flight number and arrival time as well as the name of Moscow
airport at least than 3 working days before the arrival. The pick-up service
will meet you at Moscow airport and transfer to the university.
Upon arrival to MPEI, the applicant submits to the Foreign
Office the following documents:
- Original of
application with the signature in handwriting;
- Single-entry
visa to Russia on education to MPEI;
- The migration
card and registration card that he has received on the entry to Moscow;
- The originals of
the legalized documents of education, i.e. the legalized diploma and legalized transcript;
- The notarially
verified Russian translations of these educational documents;
- Medical certificates;
- 12 photos 3x4
cm on the mat paper.
The general admission of applicants is conducted from June 19 until October 15.
The applicant must have the above listed documents upon
arrival to MPEI. Lack of educational documents or migratory papers leads to
non-admission and is prosecuted by the applicant’s departure in three days.
The admission of foreign students on the contract
basis is carried out until October 15th. The students entering on the contract
basis are officially admitted after signing the contract and in accordance with
the contract regulations.
The entrance
examination is not specially undergone; the student is generally admitted
according to his higher secondary education results.
