13th meeting of the Coordinating Council of the Eurasian Network University

On December 11, 2025, MPEI hosted the 13th meeting of the Coordinating Council of the Eurasian Network University (ENU). Nikolay Rogalev, MPEI Rector and Chairman of the Coordinating Council opened and led the meeting.

18-12-003.JPGAt the final meeting of the year, the Council reviewed the results of the Eurasian Network University (ENU)’s activities. In his report, Dmitry Bryukhanov, Head of the ENU Secretariat and Vice-Rector of the State University of Management, highlighted the accession of seven new universities to ENU, the establishment of Digital Energy Centers at MPEI and Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Centers at MSTU “STANKIN.”

Throughout 2025, the working group held several meetings, and the Coordinating Council convened four times. The ENU International Olympiad, the III ENU Forum, and a number of scientific and educational exhibitions and international scientific-practical conferences were successfully conducted. Six joint professional development programs for faculty members of ENU member universities were developed and implemented.

Dmitry Bryukhanov noted that shortly before, the Eurasian Network University was awarded a prestigious prize in the competition for large-scale high-tech and humanitarian projects, “Symbols of Eurasian Integration”. ENU took first place in the “Human Capital” category.

Irina Shkolyar, Director on International Cooperation at the All-Russian Academy of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, reported on the results of the “The Art of Negotiating» educational marathon, conducted by specialists from the Academy in 2025.

The Coordinating Council heard a presentation by Elzarbek Esharov, Vice-Rector for Science at Osh State University. Entrepreneurs and association representatives proposed establishing a center to scale and replicate technologies within ENU. The center will focus on technology scaling and replication. Its activities have already attracted interest from both business and government organizations. The Coordinating Council approved the charter for the ENU structural unit, the “Center for Innovative Technologies of the Eurasian Economic Union”.

At the final Coordinating Council meeting of the year, elections were held for the new Chairman of the Coordinating Council for 2026. Participants unanimously supported the candidacy of Kudayberdi Kozhobekov, Rector of Osh State University. Nikolay Rogalev, MPEI Rector, congratulated Kozhobekov on his election as Chairman of the Coordinating Council of the Eurasian Network University.

In conclusion, M.N. Shvetsov, Rector of Mari State University, proposed including in ENU’s work plan initiatives on artificial intelligence, the development of sovereign databases, and the organization of a conference on the digitalization of national languages. It was also proposed to sign an agreement with Ruviki to create an ENU page and to organize a dedicated session on the digitalization of national languages at the digitalization conference.

In conclusion, Mikhail Shvetsov, Rector of Mari State University, proposed including in ENU’s work plan initiatives on artificial intelligence, the development of sovereign databases and the organization of a conference on the digitalization of national languages. It is expected that participants will submit their proposals for next year’s work plan by January 20, 2026.
